The Concept
Salt 2.0 created by restauranteurs Andy and Brook Stowers. Brook came up with the concept in June, 2020 as pivot for from our fine dining seafood restaurant, Saltwater Grille. Saltwater didn’t lend itself to high volume takeout. Salt 2.0 opened its first location in Litchfield, CT on October 1st, 2020 and was an instant success!
The Cuisine
The menu is a fusion of Tex-Mex, market grain bowls and salads, and sandwich wraps. Customize any of our items to meet your dietary needs and personal taste!
Burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are on our South of the border menu. We offer blackened shrimp tacos, garden tacos and quesadillas, Philly cheesesteak quesadillas. Try our big burrito and make it a wet burrito or “enchurrito” with enchilada sauce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole added on top of our most popular item. You can add roasted or pulled chicken, tuna poke, seasoned ground beef, delicious flank steak or blackened shrimp to any dish. For vegans, we have our Beyond Beef and black bean blend.
Sandwich wraps include the flank steak wrap, Buffalo chicken wrap, Mediterranean hummus wrap, chicken Caesar wrap, chicken club wrap, and more. Customize your wrap by adding or removing ingredients, adding proteins, and choosing between flour, spinach, sundried tomato, or gluten free wraps.
Our bowls and salads offer an almost unlimited number of options. A great selection of bowls including our upbeet power bowl, cobb 2.0, harvest bowl, Greek Buddha bowl and more will keep you coming back for more! All of which you can customize to your desire. We even have a “build a bowl” option where you can create your salad from more than 60 ingredients!
Where and When
In April, 2021 we opened our second location in Torrington, CT. July, 2022 marked the opening of our third location in Brookfield, CT. In 2024 and beyond, we are looking for additional locations and franchisee partners.
